Intramuros: Day 1 of Ilocandia Adventure

Not a first timer, i still enjoyed my visit in the streets of Intramuros and Fort Santiago. ☺

After our brunch at SM Mall of Asia, we started our Manila Tour. Our fist stop, Intramuros.
Manila cathedral

Intramuros is the oldest district of Manila, known as the walled city and this is where old spanish architectural designs are located. Old churches like Manila cathedral and San Agustin Church is just around. Spanish Architecture is also preserved in the area.

From San Agustin Church, we pass by Manila Cathedral and the Comelec Building. Then, we entered Fort santiago Premises.
Comelec building

Fort Santiago is a military defense structure in the 16th century where our national hero was imprisoned. You can see here Jose Rizal's works and memorabilias well preserved.

Ngong Ping 360

Miniature Cable Car

.... And we're up for adventure!! ☺☺☺

Ngong Ping 360 is a 30-minute cable car journey from the Tung Chung MTR station. Ngong Ping 360 is a village in the mountain of Lantau Island.

With the cable car journey, you will see a panoramic view of the Hong Kong International Airport, a beautiful seascape and a greenish mountainous view of the Lantau Island. As you approach to the Ngong Ping Village, you will see a beautiful Buddha on top.

From the cable station, you'll walk through a cultural village. Restaurants and souvenir shops are just every where.

Just a few walk from the cultural village, is the gateway to the Golden Buddha. I can't remember how many steps it was reaching the top but we enjoyed every step of the way.

.... And every sweat we got is worth it. The view is just overwhelming. Buddha just everywhere and the mountainous view is breathtaking.
