El Nido: My Happy Place

.... Day 2 of our Palawan escape!

And we've missed the sunrise!

The sun is so up at past 7am and as we went to the resto of the resort we were welcomed by a great view of the sun, sea and sand. Its really good to wake up seeing beautiful scenery. You can really say "It's a fresh new day!".

At around 9am, we hopped in our boat together with other tourist and start our journey to the islands of El Nido.

We booked Tour A which includes more or less 5 islands, buffet lunch, and a very accommodating tour guides.

1st Island: 7 Commandos
7 Commandos view from our boat

fine white sand
According to our tour guide, it was called seven commandos because 7 soldiers used to lived in the island. The island is used to be one of the location of the amazing race.

refreshing and so clear!!

Joyz and I were fascinated with the crystal clear waters and very fine sand. There's lots of coconut trees around and there's picnic tables for the tourist. And of course No littering!

We stayed for an hour in the island and just enjoying a laid back living and escaping the city life and just a stress-free day! Just plain happiness!!

.. and off to the next island!
relaxed!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

2nd Island: Entalula Island

limestone formation
this is the restricted area... it is a private beach
Entalula is a private beach so our boatmen just guide us where were allowed to stay.
our boatmen busy preparing for our lunch

Our boatman decided to have our lunch here, so as they're preparing our buffet lunch we went to explore the island.
while waiting for our lunch

The island is surrounded with lush coconut trees and limestone rock formations.

We soooooo love the beach!! ♥ ♥ ♥ Heat of the sun didn't bother us at all. Snorkeling is best in the island.

.. and our sumptuous lunch is served! Yum..yum..yum...
crabs, crabs, crabs

Had a little rest and we're off to the 3rd island!

3rd Island: Simizu Island
Simizu Island
Simizu Island is named after a Japanese diver who died on his exploration of this island.
The island is best for fish feeding and snorkeling experience. Literally, we were swimming with the fishes. Too many fishes just everywhere. I guess, they were hungry enough to show up like that.. =)

Lots of boats are anchored in the island, maybe some tourist are still having their lunch there, so our boatmen just decided that we just stay on the boat and just do some snorkeling and swimming.

4th Island: Big Lagoon
and we are about to walk to the lagoon

Big Lagoon
Big lagoon is very popular nowadays because of the movie Bourne Legacy.

The view to Big Lagoon is just breathtaking.
big lagoon

Since, it's already low-tide our boat couldn't pass through so we just walk to the entrance of the lagoon.
big urchins
Water is so clear, and there's lots of sea urchins so always be careful.

... and we're all fascinated with this great view of nature!

5th Island: Small Lagoon

Small Lagoon

Awesome view!!! ☺ ☺ ☺

Small Lagoon is surrounded with rock formation. To enter the lagoon you need to swim. And our tour guide warn us that we might encounter some fish bites so better just paddle and float to the small hole and its just hard because the water is so shallow that time.
