Singapore: The Lion City

My very first travel abroad with Joyz: February 2007 (A business trip with lots of enjoyable sidetrips.... ☺)

Since this is our first travel outside the country excitement was overwhelming. From the NAIA Terminal 2 Immigration line-up up to Singapore Immigration. Manila to Singapore is a 3-hour plane ride and so we are asleep the whole trip.

As we arrived in Singapore, a travel agent fetch us from the airport and along the road he already oriented us about the cityscape. Modern architecture are so fascinating to look at super lighted up.

I super love eating seafoods here. My most favorite is the Singapore garlic-chili crab. It's so Yummy!!! ☺

What I like in Singapore is that it's super clean. People are so disciplined. and everyone is walking and the streets are so busy.

In Singapore, luxury cars are just everywhere and some are Taxi cabs.

Things to do:

Night Safari - Zoo at night. So it was really convenient for us 'coz night time is our only free time for sidetrips. It is a great experience of riding a tram around the zoo with a tour guide explaining and introducing us on all the animals around. After that tram ride they have an animal show showcasing tricks done by the trained animals. Remember: Using flash on your camera is a NO NO!

Reversed Bungee - a super great experience!!! Two thumbs up for adrenaline rush. Located at Clarke Quay. We just passed through this on our way to Hooters.

Merlion Park - the very well-known statue in Singapore. A must-see if your visiting the city. It is near Fullerton hotel and its overlooking Esplanade.
Temples - there are many temples around the city. Singaporeans have variety of religion: Buddhism, Taoism, Christians, Catholic.
Esplanade - is the Theatre by the Bay. The building looks like a microphone from afar. There are lots of performances are scheduled everyday. From local artist and international. It is just a walk away from the merlion park.

Sentosa Island - enjoyed the cable car ride from harbourfront. From above you can actually see the tall buildings in the city. A must-see attraction of every tourist. From a cable car ride, dolphin show, underwater world, and the laser light show.

Surely, it was a super fun trip though everything is just a sidetrip and i will go back here for vacation. Looking forward for another yummy chili-crab. ☺ ☺ ☺
