Remembering Hong Kong

I wanna go back to these places.... (^_^)

Hong Kong is one of my favorite country to visit.. I've been here thrice already but still I wanna go back.

My first visit here is with my former colleagues; it's our company outing. Thankful for the opportunity given. Bonding with officemates and friends.

The second visit is to attend a Convention but during free time we explored the city of Hong Kong..
@ HKIA Airport to Immigration

@  Ferry to the HK Convention Center

Third visit is a fun travel with girlfriends. Our first bonding outside the country.

Such a beautiful place!!!! ☺☺☺

Dahilayan Adventure Park

Before going home from Camiguin trip, we dropped-by at Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon to have a taste of the Asia's longest zip-linein Dahilayan Adventure Park.

Dahilayan adventure park is already featured in different sports tv. This is also the setting of KC Concepcion and Sam Milby's movie.

From Manolo Fortich highway, go to the Del monte Plantation road going to Camp Phillips which is just barely 30-minute ride. From the Camp Phillips Rotonda, your landmark is the big pineapple statue. Then, you'll passed by homes of the employees of Del monte passing the Camp Phillips compound.
half-way to Dahilayan
From Camp Phillips, Dahilayan is almost an hour drive thru rough roads with pineapple plantation as a good view with a good cold weather.

Dahilayan Adventure Park is an environment friendly park. It is a non-smoking zone park and were surrounded by beautiful pine trees and well maintained grasses plus the good weather condition.

Since, its almost lunch, we took our lunch at Pine Grove Mountain Lodge, and some rest while waiting for our turn in zipline zone.
the posers!!! ☺☺☺

In Dahilayan Adventure park, you can do a lot of things. From the extreme one to just simple strolling around the place.

☞ What to do in Dahilayan Adventure Park:
  •  Zip Zones
             840 meters zip-line – P500
             320 meter zip-line – P250
             150 meter zip-line – P250
             All Zip-line Ride Package – P600
  • Rope Course
             Ropes Course (2 level, 12 obstacles) – P200
  • Wall Climbing
             Wall Climbing – P100

We tried the well known 840m  Asia's longest zip line.

From the waiting station at the park, the shuttle will bring you up the mountain for your jump-off point.

a pose to the jump-off point!!! exciting!! ☺
At the jump-off point, that is where you will be dressed up with all the safety gears and they will give you safety instructions.
waiting for my turn!!
Not a zipline firs-timer, I find it thrilling but got a little bit bored in the middle of the ride, indeed it is the longest zipline.
Fly like superman!!! ☺☺☺
I CONQUERED!!! ♥♥♥
After our ride, we got our certificate as a proof that we've conquered the Asia's Longest Zipline.
WE SURVIVED!!! ♥
We wanted to do the rope course and the wall climb but it was under maintenance when we were there.

At 3pm, it's bye bye time for us.. It's time to go home!!! ☺

Paras Beach Resort

the roadtrippers!!☺
Paras beach resort is our home in our Camiguin Island trip. It is one of the best resort in the island with its great amenities.

As we arrived in the resort, they welcomed us with drinks and lay together with their beautiful smiles. They were so accommodating and the place is so relaxing.

We booked 2 dormitories, good for 12pax, and 2 family rooms good for 5-6pax. The rooms are so cozy especially the dorm type which where we stayed. There were towels for everyone, private toilet and bath with hot and cold shower and an lcd tv.

Camiguin Island

After the long trip, the escapades begin…
welcome to Camiguin Island! ☺
Arrived in Benoni Port at past 1pm. With Kuya waiting for us in our jeepney; our ride in the Island.
From the port, we headed straight to Mambajao which is 1 hour away from Benoni.
it's chow time!!
We booked our buffet lunch at JJ Pension House located in Rizal St., Mambajao.
lunch!!
After our sumptuous lunch, we checked-in to our resort. Paras Beach Resort is our home in the Island. (See my next post for our fun stay in Paras Beach Resort)

Tired from the long travel, we’ve decided to take some rest before exploring the whole island.

At past 3pm, we’ve started our island escapades.

Day 1
  • Overlooking Old Volcano
From the highway, there is a picturesque of the Old Volcano with the beach on view.
  •  Walkway to  the Old Volcano and station of the Cross
This is where you can really see the beautiful old volcano and during lent season they have  the station of the cross going up to the view deck.
We didn't go to the view deck and we just savor the moment in the starting point.
  • Sunken Cemetery
From the walkway, we headed straight to the sunken cemetery. There is a big cross in the middle of the sea and you can go there thru hiring a boat.
  • The Old Church
the group
The old church is wiped out during a volcanic eruption in the island. What remains are the walls, and convent which is an evidence to what happened in the past.
big tree
@ the gate of the old church
  • Ardent Hot Spring
We laid our tired body in the relaxing hot water of Ardent. The water comes from Mt. Hibok-hibok.

.. And our first day in the island ended in a fun stay in Paras Resort.

Day 2

We woke up at 5am to start our brand new day in Camiguin.
Cool blue waters to White Island

As the sun rises, we also booked our White Island escaped. Paid the necessary entrance and boat rental and we're off to the Island. By the way, White Island is just across Paras Beach resort and the boat terminal is just beside the resort. Very convenient on our part since were a big group.
so early in the morning. tourist with their colorful umbrella
  • White Island
me and the Camiguin Island as my background
White island is a long stretch of sand bar. Its form depends on the water but when we went there its some in letter "C" form. We got there too early for a low tide, so we haven't used our rented snorkel gear. So if you plan to snorkel don't go too early, wait for high tide to come.

walking from the other side of the sandbar
From the white island, you can see whole view of the Camiguin Island with picturesque of Mt. hibok-hibok and the old volcano.
our boat back to Paras Resort
  • Katibawasan falls

swim even if its so cold!! ☺
With its cascading waterfall and clear water its so inviting to swim, knowing that the water is so cold and very relaxing.

..And at past 12nn we hopped-in the ferry back to Balingoan Port.
Goodbye Camiguin!!
... Though it's a long trip, everything is worth it!
.... it's more fun in Camiguin Island!! ☺☺☺
