Macau: A Fun Adventure with Gurlfriends

Macau (also spelled Macao, 澳門, Ou3 Mun4 in Cantonese, Àomén in Mandarin) is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China. Located across the Pearl River estuary from Hong Kong, until 1999 Macau was an overseas territory of Portugal. One of the world's most densely populated spots, Macau is best known as Asia's largest destination for gambling taking in even more revenue than Las Vegas. - Wikitravel

On our Hong Kong trip, we took a side-trip to Macau.
@ First Class Area
Macau is an hour ferry ride from Hong Kong. There are several ferries going to and from Macau to Hong Kong from 7 am to 12mn ferry schedule.

Nap time after we filled-up the immigration form

We left Hong Kong early and had the 8am ferry to Macau. Since we had a premier ticket, so there is a free breakfast on board and we took some rest and save some energy for our Macau Adventure.

And a memorable adventure begins.....
Senado Square
With our map and the thrill of having a fun journey, we rode a public transport from the ferry terminal to the Senado Square. Thank you to the bus driver who understand us when we told him to drop us to the nearest bus stop.

And so, the never ending walk in Macau began...

From the bus stop, we walk in an alley going to the Senado Square. Tourist are already everywhere.

There are lots of shop in the Senado Square like Mc Donalds and Starbucks.
St. Francis of Asisi Entrance
We visited the St. Francis de Asisi Church located just in the Senado Square as we are on our way to the St. Paul Ruins.

Going to the St. Paul ruins you'll pass-by local food stalls and souvenir shops. And just be careful because the street is so crowded.

...And at the end of the street we found a beautiful ruins surrounded by different kinds of tourists and we are one of those. ☺☺☺

More of the St. Paul Ruins on my next blog....☺
Stairs to the St. Paul Ruins
Tired and hungry after our ruins walk, we went back to the Senado Square to have a sumptous lunch at Mc Donalds.

inside the venetian bus
As we regained our energy, we went back to the ferry terminal and took the free bus ride to The Venetian Hotel.
inside The Venetian Hotel
... And it feels like in Venice !!!

Painted cloudy blue skies ceiling and a romantic gondola ride are just some what Venetian is all about. Though it is a hotel-casino place but non-gamblers can still enjoy the place.
